This design was drawn by the same person who harvests the herbs, feeds the pigs, and mends the fences. It isn't stock illustration or an idealized rural fantasy?it?s an honest record of a farm ecosystem.
At the center, is the silhouette of Slow Farm's 90-year-old tobacco curing barn, now repurposed as an herb workshop. It?s an anchor for a landscape that respects history without being trapped in nostalgia?transforming a structure built for an extractive cash crop into a space dedicated to botanical stewardship and perennial health.
Framing the barn is a wreath of species that do real work here: goldenrod, longleaf pine, persimmon, tulsi basil, clover, rosemary, and a quiet Kunekune grazing pig at the base.
"Wholehearted agriculture" is about more than soil biology and no-till mechanics. It?s a commitment to an entire web of relationships. It means choosing care over convenience, accepting the vulnerability of working alongside natural cycles instead of trying to dominate them, and treating every animal, plant, and acre as a living partner.
Printed on durable, comfortable shirts built for daily wear. Proceeds directly fund the daily feed, lifelong herd care, and ongoing stewardship of Slow Farm, with 5% donated to Kiss the Ground to support national soil advocacy?an organization we?re proud to be listed with on their Regenerative Farm Directory.
