When spay/neuter clinics closed during COVID, it had a long-range effect that is still happening. Millions of cats that would have been altered were not, people adopted in large numbers but didn't fix their new pets, and as people returned to work, suddenly, cats found themselves outside, quickly pregnant, often abandoned, and now we are in a crisis. There are so many homeless cats and kittens that it is excruciating to have to say, "No, we are full. We can't take on more. We have no space and not enough funds," yet this is what is happening. So many. more than we have ever seen, are being brought to us that are injured, sometimes severely, sick and needing lots of diagnostics, and tiny babies are found everywhere. And it all costs money to step up and say, "Yes, we can help." Without support from people who care and recognize the need, many more will suffer and die. Please help us continue to save lives, alleviate suffering, and give all that come our way a chance to live and have a family!
