The Staten Island Zoo and AZA (Association of Zoos & Aquariums) are throwing a Party for the Planet and celebrating Earth Day, Endangered Species Day, and World Ocean Day. This is the first of three campaigns we will be running to celebrate wildlife and environmental conservation. All proceeds of this campaign will go toward the care and well being of our animals at the Zoo.

The Staten Island Zoo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to this founding mission as an educational institution, the Zoo remains at the forefront of weaving effective education programs into its cultural role as a place of adventure, discovery, and fun for all age groups.

Named ?New York?s Biggest Little Zoo?, we house approximately 1500 individual animals across 350 species. A leader in wildlife conservation, the Zoo maintains several endangered species and participates in worldwide breeding programs to contribute to their survival. The Zoo has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 1988 and maintains their high standards of welfare, husbandry, and education.
