AJBS Journey To Walk

Austin was diagnosed with an unknown variant of Ataxia in September 2019 after gross motor delays affected his development. Although there are many types of ataxia including acquired, hereditary and episodic, no cure exists. Currently treatment is focused on quality of life and improving symptoms which vary for each individual patient .

Since his diagnosis we have fundraised for the National Ataxia Foundation by taking part in several ?Walk n Roll For Ataxia? events in Massachusetts.

In 2021, we decided to start a hat campaign to help boost donations as well as increase awareness for Ataxia. We will continue to add new products and campaign indefinitely. We are so excited when we see people wearing their AJB gear and spreading awareness through his name!

Help us work towards finding a cure for Ataxia! We appreciate all the support we have received on our journey thus far.

AJB lives at home in the suburbs of Boston, with his Mom, Dad and miniature pinscher Snoop. AJB currently attends special needs preschool 4 days a week, as well as participates in multiple weekly therapies including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Dynamic Movement Intervention and Equine Therapy.
