Lauren Iba?ez has a B.F.A in Studio Arts from the University of Texas in Austin, focusing her practice on illustration and printmaking. Influenced by comic books, silent films, and folklore, she creates artwork to invoke empathy and suspense. A focal point in her art deals with storytelling and exploring illustration as a narrative language. Whether composing animated editorial pieces for NPR?s Next Generation Radio, or crafting handheld zines for the next art market she is constantly using her work to craft entertaining tales.

Lauren?s artistic style translates seamlessly between her digital work and her traditional work, and many times she utilizes both mediums when working on a project. She has experience in multiple disciplines of printmaking such as screen printing, lithography, relief printing, and risography.  

Her outside interests include learning about space travel, listening to spooky podcasts, and keeping a live plant and fish aquarium.
