The Brandywine Valley SPCA leads the way in no-kill open admission sheltering with progressive programs and services. Now serving communities in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, South Jersey and Washington, D.C., The BVSPCA cares for some 25,000 animals annually. Founded in 1929, the BVSPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve no-kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In Delaware, the BVSPCA is the largest animal welfare organization and the only no-kill open admission shelter, providing state-wide care for lost and found dogs.
