Westwood has historically been known as "The Hub of the Pascack Valley!" Rumors abound as to how we got that name, but most signs point back to the town's inception as a rural outpost in the mid 1800s. From its earliest days, the little town of Westwood along the Mupquapsink Brook - and later North/South train line which connected the growing suburbs with NYC - was THE place to be! A small pharmacy, hotel, bank, and grocery eventually grew into the bustling hub we all know and love with nearly 50 unique eateries, over 100 retailers and service providers, parks, entertainment, and lovely neighborhoods!    

Celebrate Westwood was created in 2018 with the support of the Westwood Governing Body in anticipation of the 125th anniversary of the borough of Westwood in 2019. Since then, our volunteer organization has been creating opportunities for performing & visual arts, community building & civic pride events to increase interaction between residents & local business. We function under the financial auspices of the Westwood Heritage Society as we work towards our own 501c3 status. Learn more at www.celebratewestwood.org
