Founded in 1974, CHOICES has been providing patient-centered medical care and championing sexual and reproductive rights for decades. CHOICES provides a full-spectrum reproductive and sexual health practice with a range of services for more than 5,000 patients each year. Services include medication and procedural abortions, perinatal care and out-of-hospital birth under the midwifery model, gender-affirming hormone therapy, HIV testing and prevention, birth control, and sexual wellness. With the opening of our new health and birth center in September 2020, CHOICES became the first nonprofit healthcare provider in the country to offer both birth services and abortion care under one roof. CHOICES offers a new model for community-based care with a focus on reproductive and social justice. Now with locations in both Memphis, TN and Carbondale, IL, CHOICES serves as an access point for reproductive and sexual health services for patients from across the Southeast and Midwest.
