Hello, my name is Dr. Erica Vernold Miller and I am Mrs. Syracuse 2026. In May, I will be competing in the Mrs. New York America pageant. I am competing in this pageant to bring awareness to the teacher shortage crisis and provide solutions to ensure that our students have qualified educators in their classrooms. My platform: Empowering Educators, Improving Education focuses on 1) Addressing educator burnout and increasing resiliency building in schools, 2) tackling the societal issues that can negatively impact students' behavior and academic performance, and 3) increasing interest in the teaching profession.
