This fundraiser is in honor of my niece, Lizette. She worked hard as a young mom to achieve her goal of becoming a nurse. She began her career as a nurse aide and moved up as a nurse technician at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital while in college. In December 2019, she graduated as an RN and began working in Butterworth Hospital's Emergency Department as COVID became prevalent at the start of 2020.

Lizette was passionate and dedicated to her role as a nurse. But her most important role was that of being a mother. Lizette loved fiercely, was passionate about what she believed in and spread joy everywhere she went through her infectious laugh.
