From the moment Lucas entered the world, he has been fighting battles most of us could never imagine. His birth was terrifying, marked by a brain bleed and severe damage to the areas of his brain responsible for movement, coordination, and balance. By six months old, Lucas had already undergone three brain surgeries.

His early prognosis was grim. Doctors prepared his family for outcomes no parent should ever have to hear.

But Lucas has never been defined by limits.

Anyone who has met him knows exactly why we say he is a beacon of joy. His smile could move mountains. His spirit fills every room. And despite everything he has endured, he approaches each day with a pure love of life - a joy so contagious that it inspires everyone around him.

Despite a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Lucas continues to amaze his medical team with progress they once weren?t sure would ever be possible. Every therapy session shows how hard he works to move, explore, and play, especially alongside his big brother and the other kids he meets. He wants to walk. He wants to run. He wants to experience the world the way every toddler dreams of doing.

This year, Lucas?s family discovered the life?changing impact of intensive therapy clinics, programs that have accelerated his progress in ways traditional therapy simply can?t. These clinics give him the best chance at gaining independence, mobility, and confidence.

But these opportunities come with a heavy cost.

They are not covered by insurance, and each clinic, including therapy, travel, and lodging, totals over $10,000. Lucas?s care team recommends 6+ intensives this year alone to support his development.
