New Roots Institute is a nonprofit organization empowering the next generation with knowledge and training to end factory farming.

We provide comprehensive training to high school and college students and collaborate with mission-aligned organizations to create meaningful change in local communities. Our programs help students understand how factory farming connects to urgent issues like climate change, environmental protection, human rights, and public health?and then turn that knowledge into real-world action by shifting behaviors and systems to build a just food system.

Rooted in research, our programs strengthen student networks and transform attitudes and systems around food production. Students graduate with the expertise, confidence, and lifelong commitment to advocate for change in their communities and influence institutions, governments, and corporations.
