This campaign was designed by Stuart T. Wilson CPA, PC to bring awareness to sexual violence and domestic violence in the community. According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, people with disabilities were more than three times more likely than nondisabled people to experience serious violent crime such as sexual assault. In addition, having multiple disabilities can increase a person's risk of sexual assault, and children with mental health or intellectual disabilities are almost five times more likely than their nondisabled peers to experience sexual abuse. Help us support survivors of sexual violence in our community and show them that we are here for them. All proceeds of this campaign go to the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program at Shelterhouse of Midland and Gladwin counties. The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) team works 24/7, 365 days a year to bring emergent, trauma-informed, and compassionate medical care, advocacy, and forensic services to survivors of sexual violence.
