When Ethan was just 6 weeks old, we discovered that he had a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa. This disease causes a gradual degeneration of eye sight over the course of one's life and will eventually lead to blindness. While this was devastating news for our family, we chose to use it as an opportunity to point others towards God and his promise to work all things for good. Each year, we raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, which helps fund important research that will hopefully lead to a cure one day!
