Kaden and Ellie are siblings with a goal to bring awareness to Mitochondrial Disease.

The Mighty Morrisons

Kaden and Ellie Morrison are siblings living with Mitochondrial disease. It is their goal to bring awareness about this rare disease and to share their story. It's Mitochondrial Awareness Week, so let's learn about it and support this family! Mitochondrial Disease is a progressive and terminal disease that results from failures of the mitochondria. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support growth. When they fail, less and less energy is generated within the cell. Cell injury and even cell death follow. If this process is repeated throughout the body, whole systems begin to fail, and the life of the person in whom this is happening is severely compromised.
There are many medical needs that come with this disease, which include surgeries, hospitals stays, medical equipment, and medications. Along with the significant medical needs of Kaden and Ellie, their mother has been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The funds raised through this campaign will help the Morrison Family with medical bills. The Morrison family has an amazing faith and they collaborated with Lauren Brown Creative and Willey Bandz to make this design come to life! To learn more about their story and to continue to pray for them during this journey click the facebook link located in the left column on this page. Let's show Kaden and Ellie that the community supports their family and is learning about Mitochondrial Disease!
