WNDB and the kidlit community have teamed up to share love and affirmation ? in the form of book care packages ? with LGBTQIA+ youth and their families. 

?Proceeds from this campaign will help us send these packages to states like Texas and Florida where current legislation has attacked the rights and humanity of LGBTQIA+ kids to live with authenticity and honesty. It is our hope that these affirming and positive books will help kids feel some of the love and respect they so deserve.

Each package will include:

• A copy of a book centering LGBTQIA+ characters. Each title has been curated by our team.
• Special swag items, like a temporary tattoo and a bookmark with an encouraging message.

If funding allows, we also aim to:

• Host a giveaway of LGBTQIA+ books to teachers and librarians.
• Coordinate virtual author visits with LGBTQIA+ kidlit authors.
• And more!

The safety of LGBTQIA+ youth is of our utmost concern. Because of this, we are working with existing organizations that serve the LGBTQIA+ community in Texas, Florida, and beyond to deliver the packages.
