We will be walking in the RI Breakthrough T1D Walk in October this year!
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 14 back in 2009 and this past year our youngest son was also diagnosed at 10 months old.
Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease that attacks the Beta Cells in your Pancreas, rendering insulin production useless and requires constant blood sugar monitoring, carb counting and manual insulin dosages every day for the rest of your life. Currently, there is no cure; and no amount of dieting or exercising will reverse Type 1 Diabetes.
I created this design as a reminder that we are all made strong in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9) and there will one day be a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, If not in my lifetime, then in my son's.
All proceeds from product sales will go toward the Walk Fundraiser to help make that happen for everyone with T1D!
