We are raising money to help find a cure for T1D! Sylvie was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) on October 2, 2025. T1D is genetic (not related to diet or lifestyle) and is caused by the immune system attacking the beta cells in her pancreas that produce insulin. Insulin takes sugars out of her blood and delivers them to her cells for energy. Over the next couple months, her pancreas will produce less and less insulin and eventually, she will rely completely on taking insulin shots, or having insulin delivered using an insulin pump. Scientists have made advancements in their search for a cure in recent years and we have hope for a bright future, with or without the T1D! <3
