Vaona is a young cat facing a serious medical journey. After developing frightening neurological symptoms, including tremors, drooling, seizures and periods where she seemed unable to see or hear, extensive testing pointed to a liver shunt.

Medication has helped her tremendously, but the next step is surgery.

Team Vaona was created to help raise the additional funds needed for her medical care and liver shunt surgery. At Euclid Beach Cat Project, when a cat comes to us with extraordinary medical needs, we work to raise those costs separately so we can continue using our general funds to care for the many other cats depending on us every day.

Right now, this shirt is for Vaona. It is a way to stand behind her, share her story and help give her the chance she deserves.

And hopefully, long after Vaona?s surgery is behind her, Team Vaona can continue to represent something bigger: a community that shows up for cats facing complicated, expensive medical journeys. Future proceeds can help us raise funds for the next special-needs or critical-care cat who needs that same kind of support.
