We are walking in the Out of the Darkness Walkto honor Aidan?s life, to break the silence surrounding suicide, and to help save others from this devastating loss. Suicide is a public health crisis, and we know we are not alone in our grief. The pain is widespread?but so, too, is the love and determination to make a difference.

The symbol over the heart is Aidan?s (and Bauer?s and Matt?s) tattoo and the Japanese symbol for perseverance (kanji or nin). On the back, it reads: ?Dear person behind me, The world is a better place with you in it! Love, the person in front of you?

Through this walk, we hope to channel our heartbreak into hope.
