You may be wondering what we do, which is valid! The Gathering Place (TGP) delivers robust wrap-around programs and is the only shelter in metropolitan Denver specifically serving women, gender expansive people and children who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. As a low-barrier organization, TGP eliminates potentially harmful rules, and responds to individuals in crisis with interventions that are centered in compassion, justice, and equity. TGP is committed to being accessible to the most vulnerable members of the community. Staff meet people where they are by providing an environment where they can be who they are culturally, physically, and emotionally.
