The virtue of independent bookstores has always been the people at work in them and this has been best represented in the breadth and depth of our staff picks, those shelves and cards set up around bookstores with our expertise and passion for books on full display. But with our shops shuttered by COVID-19, hundreds of skilled booksellers across the country have been laid off or had their hours cut while we try to 'flatten the curve.' In the meantime, we've banded together to share the best of what we know with the communities we've served at our online storefront.

The Bookstore at the End of the World is no substitute for the sense of community in our home stores, but until we can work again, we're more than happy to share our favorite books in solidarity with our fellow booksellers across the country.
