About the Design

"The Cats of Mount Washington" is a new t-shirt design which will benefit the Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS)'s educational field trips! Illustrated by MWOBS School Programs Educator Olivia Dodge, nine cats from the history of the Observatory are featured, including some of the earliest Obs kitties and our most recent, Nimbus. Choose your favorite shirt style as your base, and enjoy the purrr-fect print on top!

About Mount Washington Observatory Field Trips

One of our goals as a nonprofit organization is to provide students with the opportunity to experience the legendary ?Home of the World?s Worst Weather,? Mount Washington. During our field trips, students take on experiential learning with activities like measuring and recording temperature and pressure changes while ascending the mountain, and building their own instrumentation to test out on the summit. It is the ultimate place-based learning adventure!

Your support will help rural New Hampshire youth reach new heights and experience one of the most unique classrooms that New England has to offer.

The Mount Washington Observatory is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth's weather and climate. It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, and conducting innovative science education programs.
