After the severe flooding that hit McDowell County in February 2025, I had the privilege of getting to know Rebecca and Elliot Godfrey. What began as months of relief work turned into a lasting friendship, and I continue to be inspired by their steady commitment to their community.
Long before the floodwaters came, Rebecca and Elliot were already serving others. They ran an outreach program for children and single mothers, distributed food, and worked to support those around them in any way they could. During the first months of recovery, Rebecca even slept at the church to help organize supplies and make sure families had what they needed to rebuild.
This was not a one-time act of kindness. It is who they are. They are givers. They are leaders. They are shining examples of West Virginians doing good work and lifting others up.
Proceeds from this shirt will support Kingdom Kids and the ongoing efforts to serve the community and youth of McDowell County.
