The Northwestern pond turtle (Actinemys marmorata) is found in creeks and ponds from Northern California and North to Washington state. Despite their large distribution, they have disappeared from much of their historical habitat due to urbanization, pollution, and climate change. The San Francisco Bay Area contains some of the last healthy habitat, but their outlook is not hopeful! USFWS has just proposed their listing for 2024, so now is the time to act. All profits from this fundraising campaign will go to San Francisco Zoo, an organization that helps increase breeding success through headstarting program.
