The H?m?kua Jodo Mission T-shirt fundraiser helps support the care and preservation of one of Honoka?a?s most important historic and cultural landmarks. Established in 1896, the H?m?kua Jodo Mission is Hawai?i?s oldest sanctioned Buddhist temple and has served generations of families in North Hawai?i. The Konpondo (temple), constructed in 1918, still stands today and continues to be lovingly maintained through the dedication of volunteers and community supporters. Funds raised through this campaign will help support the ongoing stewardship of the temple grounds and the historic cemetery, where many of H?m?kua?s early plantation families are laid to rest.
