Directing a production of Shange's "for colored girls..." radically change my life. All phases of the directorial process from pitching the play to the broader campus theater community, dramaturgy, casting (which meant incorporating as many black women & femme's as possible so that we could take up space) taught me how to be a cultural worker who belongs to an oppressed and marginalized community and to make of that, magic!

This is basically the original design by mohammed iman /@brohammed with an addition of a quote from Shange's "A Daughter's Geography" that connects transnational struggles against Western Imperialism, Apartheid, and Genocide.
