Running for Boston Medical Center ? Every Golden Mile Counts
As a pediatric emergency RN, I?ve worked in several hospitals, but there?s something truly golden about the Pediatric Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center. Every day, I?m surrounded by a team whose compassion, resilience, and spark never fail ? even on the hardest shifts.
A coworker once told me, ?If I could run the marathon, I would ? but I physically can?t because of my diagnosis.? That moment changed everything. It reminded me that so many people ? patients, families, and even teammates ? would give anything for one more mile.
So I?m running 26.2 golden miles for them.
For the patients who shine through hardship.
For the coworkers who keep showing up.
For the place that brings hope and healing to so many.
My goal is to raise $10,000 for BMC?s Pediatric Emergency Department ? every donation, big or small, helps us go further together.
