In honor of Library Card Sign-Up Month, we are otterly excited to introduce you to a new member of the Cuyahoga Falls Library team: Taylor the River Otter!
Taylor is named after the library?s founders, William and Margaretta Taylor. Our library was incorporated in 1911 as the William A. and Margaretta Taylor Memorial Association, and the name was later changed to the Taylor Memorial Library. In 2004, the name was updated to Cuyahoga Falls Library.
Why Taylor? Why a river otter? The library felt it was important to continue honoring the Taylor legacy with this nod to our history. It is also an acknowledgment of the improved health and vitality of the Cuyahoga River with the return of real river otters to our community. And, of course, Cuyahoga Falls Library is a River of Knowledge as well as "A Place Like No Otter."
