Bats are primary pollinators (and seed dispersers!) of approximately 70 percent of all tropical fruits eaten by humans, ranging from bananas and mangoes to peaches, cashews and dates.
Bat services not only benefit humans, but help protect other pollinator pals too! Insectivorous bats eat crop pests worldwide, thereby reducing the need for harmful pesticides.
Merlin Tuttle's one-of-a-kind photo collection is brought to you by the Bat Scan Project through Merlin Tuttle's Bat Conservation (MTBC).
MTBC resources are created to equip you to be the best bat ambassador you can be. Visit us to learn more about bats, why we need them and how you can help.
Getting one of these tops is an easy start though!
