Being a Bitch is not a Crime

Based on a post I made on threads about the tragic murder of Renee Good, I created a shirt with the words that many people agreed with me about: being a ?fucking bitch? is not a crime. I made this shirt in hopes of people proudly wearing my personal truth, that if there was a death penalty for being a bitch I would have been gone years ago. I utilized the imagery of marigolds, the sturdy, bright, and unapologetic flower that symbolizes life, death, and renewal. They have long been used to express grief but also symbolize the resilience of staying strong in the face of despair.

100% of the proceeds of these items will be directly donated to SeniorLAW Center, a nonprofit legal program close to my heart. In the spirit of honoring the strong, bold, and courageous women who have remained resilient for decades, and now face immeasurable hardship due to the policies of this current administration.

SeniorLAW Center provides free legal services to older people across the state of Pennsylvania, including victims of abuse and financial exploitation, older adults facing housing crises and homelessness, and grandparents raising grandchildren. Almost 20% of Philadelphia?s elders are poor or economically vulnerable. Most are women. Many are raising young children, whose birth parents are incarcerated, ill, or substance addicts.
