Many of our GWG members can tell you that having IBD and/or an ostomy causes their depression or anxiety while others note their mental health often affects their symptoms.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only made these matters worse as those with chronic illness feel more isolated than ever.
Proceeds from this campaign will be donated to an organization with a focus on mental health in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month!
We asked for what organizations mattered most to our community and there was a resounding vote for To Write Love on Her Arms.
"To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery."
