On December 6, 2019, Huntsville Police STAC Agent Billy Clardy, III, was shot and killed in the line of duty. STAC Agent Clardy is survived by his wife and five children. All proceeds from the sell of these shirts will go directly to the Billy Clardy Memorial Fund at Redstone Federal Credit Union.
I'm not only the creator of this particular fundraiser, I am a police wife. My husband served alongside Billy for many years. Billy's father (Billy Clardy, Jr.) was also killed in the line of duty in 1978. My family grew up with the Clardy's and I felt this was the best way I could think of to help our community honor and remember his sacrifice. His list of accomplishments would take up an entire page with numerous clicks to scroll down. This fallen hero deserves our support as his family learns to live without him physically being there with them.
STAC Agent Billy Clardy's End of Watch may have been December 6, 2019, but his legacy will live on forever in the hearts and minds of everyone who calls Huntsville home. Our streets were a little safer with Billy. We will miss him dearly and I can only hope this small fundraiser might get some traction.
