Happy Mama Healthy Baby Africa Alliance - South Africa is led by community doula Moora Olebogeng Letsoalo. In her town near Pretoria, South Africa, she offers doula support to moms who have limited resources, little support, and often large families.

Doulas are nonmedical caregivers who provide emotional, practical, and informational support during times of transition, such as birth, bereavement, and postpartum.

From offering information about wellness in pregnancy, to prenatal support groups, to birth support, to postpartum support, Moora is a life-line for many families. She offers doula support as a volunteer, donating her time and energy to families who desperately need information and a hand to hold.

Global Doula Project recently sponsored the training of 6 doulas to provide support alongside Moora.
