The Coraciiformes and Bucerotiformes (C&B) TAG manages Species Survival Plans for a total of ten species: six hornbill species, Blue-crowned MotMot, Blue-bellied Roller, Green Woodhoopoe, Laughing Kookaburra. The C&B TAG promotes in situ conservation of species in these orders and their habitats through participation in and support of field programs. The TAG provides support for improving captive management and propagation at participating institutions and by using exhibition of birds to influence public opinion to favor conservation activities.
In situ projects supported include The Hornbill Research Foundation, Mabula Ground Hornbill Project and Philippine Hornbill Conservation Programme.
