The Cedarburg Friends of the Library is a vibrant group of public-spirited citizens dedicated to supporting the Cedarburg Public Library through volunteer support and fundraising. Recent Friends' fundraising allowed for the purchase of additional items for the Tinker Lab and Library of Things, funded both the children's and adult summer reading programs, the Great Decisions program, Cedarburg Reads and Writes Community Events, the CPL Podcasts with CPL Radio and, of course, more books (including additional best sellers and new books for the Lucky Day shelves)! 

What We Do

• Raise funds to support key Library efforts which fall outside of the Library?s budget capacity
• Promote Library programs, speakers, resources, and services for all ages
• Sponsor Library programs and events like Cedarburg Reads & Writes, the Great Decision series, author events and our ever-popular Summer Reading Programs for all ages
• Encourage gifts, endowments, bequests, and memorials from individuals and groups
• Volunteer at the Library for key events
• Organize donations and run the in-library used book store: Buy the Book
• Organize and run regular used book sales throughout the year
• Purchase Library?s wish list items, including for our Library of Things and for staff needs
• Partner with community groups and businesses
• Improve Library spaces for all
• Fund big ticket technology items such as the large format printer, and digital equipment for the radio room and digital lab

Cedarburg Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. All memberships and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Friends group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a governing board. We are always looking for interested Board Members and community volunteers to help with our leadership efforts. The Library Friends Board meets monthly at the Library on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
