The Erdheim-Chester Disease Global Alliance (ECDGA) is here to support you in your efforts to raise awareness and gain support for families living with Erdheim-Chester Disease.
You can make a global impact by spreading awareness and garnering support for ECD families around the world. Being diagnosed with a rare disease that most people have never heard of is a scary and heartbreaking outcome for patients and families.
Medical professionals and advocates do all they can for these patients to get the treatment they need to survive and live their lives. But first, they have to be diagnosed correctly, something that is very difficult to accomplish with such a complex, widely unknown disease. Early diagnosis and treatment are extremely vital for these patients, making awareness absolutely crucial. This ultra-rare blood cancer can affect any combination of organs, and the combination can differ with each patient affected.
The ECD Global Alliance is a patient advocacy group dedicated to raising awareness, providing support to those affected by the disease, educating the medical community with material and facilitating information sharing among interested parties regarding ECD, and advocating for and financially supporting research programs related to Erdheim-Chester Disease.
