This design by Refugee and Immigrant Connections Spokane reflects the heart of the people of Spokane who support refugee and immigrant communities.
Everyone belongs somewhere, let it be here.
We chose to feature Spokane landmarks, the Monroe Street Bridge and Riverfront Park?s Expo ?74 butterfly for a reason.
When refugee and immigrant families arrive in Spokane, there is so much uncertainty to face. Together, with our partnering organizations, RICS serves as a bridge. Much like the Monroe Street Bridge which connects multiple communities in our city, we walk alongside and provide pathways for refugee and immigrant families to find the resources, belonging, and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives and put down roots in Spokane.
The graceful butterfly represents migration, the journey of making your way through difficult times to find a soft, welcoming space to land. Spokane is that place.
Join us as we stand with our refugee and immigrant neighbors.
