This June, I will be bringing extra medical supplies needed as I once again work alongside an amazing medical team of both local Honduran medics and friends. In just over a week, we will see hundreds of children across 4 communities and provide care that ensures hundreds of children get necessary medical checks and care that both saves lives and prevents illnesses, for example, tests for h.pylori- a treatable illness that a child in the community recently passed away from without proper testing.

This special place up in the mountains and the children that live there hold such a huge piece of my heart. I have watched them grow up since first visiting in 2018, and this will be my seventh time there. Medical care there is not like we have in the US. Often times, they aren't able to easily see or afford to get to a doctor. Simple injuries and illnesses can progress into serious, life-threatening conditions as they are forced to live with it. Any shirts purchased, with the message of "love always being the right choice" or "to choose with love is to choose well" in both Spanish and English, will make a huge difference in the quality of life of so many children in a special little corner of the world.
