NextGen ALS was started in 2021 by the Weber Family who carried a genetic strain of ALS, which can be passed on to every ?next generation.? Since then, the organization has grown to include other families who are equally invested in the cause. Genetic ALS has no known cure, and for each person with genetic ALS there is a 50/50 chance that each of their children could be diagnosed with the same disease.
NextGen ALS is entirely committed to raising funds for targeted research toward developing treatments for genetic forms of ALS.
