From majestic gray wolves to smiley giant salamanders, each forest dweller has a key role to play in their local ecosystem, aka neighborhood! Beavers promote vegetation growth, support biodiversity, and mitigate erosion in riparian areas. Big leaf maples provide shade and food for other life forms. Red-capped mushrooms recycle nutrients while egrets support a balanced food web. Each relies on the other's survival and thriving in order to survive and thrive :) may we learn from their interconnected beauty and support their continued resilience!
