The Greater New York Naginata Federation (GNYNF) is a not-for-profit organization founded on January 31, 2006 by Sachiko Yamauchi-Prough, Sensei (Kyoshi) and John Prough (3-dan), as a way to provide education in the Japanese martial art of Naginata to the public. This includes providing support for start-up naginata study groups and pop-up dojos that do not have local access to a high-ranking sensei, through virtual education and other resources. Money raised from these shirts will be used for organizing Naginata seminars & tournaments, in addition to providing financial support to students and dojos interested in taking up Naginata.
