The Hadley Valley Schoolhouse was opened in 1885. Cost of construction was $800 (around $12000 today). This building served as a place of learning for students from grades 1-8 until it closed its doors in the 1950s.
The Hadley Valley Schoolhouse has been on the History Center's grounds since the 1970s, and has been a key point of field trips and tourist visitations! We love our schoolhouse and the interactive lessons we're able to provide inside of it.
