Heather is my sister-in-law who passed away recently from cancer. She is an amazing woman who positively affected everyone she came in contact with. During her eulogy, my wife, Heather's sister described her as fierce. Fierce in her love for her friends and family, fierce in the job she loved as a professer, dean, and assistant provost of Carson Newman University, and most of all fierce in her faith in God.
