This year marks my 10 year DIAversary, and it is something I am incredibly proud of.
Living with Type 1 diabetes for a decade has not been easy, but every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today, and for that I am truly grateful.
I was diagnosed at 26 years old. There was no family history, and I barely knew anyone who lived with this disease. In the beginning, it felt isolating and overwhelming. I was facing something I did not fully understand, with no roadmap and no idea what life would look like moving forward.
But over time, I found my footing. I built a community. I learned how strong I really am. And instead of letting diabetes define me, I learned how to live with it, grow through it, and advocate because of it. This disease has tested me, but it has also given me purpose and a deeper sense of empathy, resilience, and connection.
Since being diagnosed in 2016, I have supported Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), an organization dedicated to finding a cure and improving the lives of everyone affected by Type 1 diabetes. They have been a source of hope for me from the start, and I am proud to continue raising awareness and funds for the work they do.
All proceeds from these shirts will be donated directly to Breakthrough T1D. Thank you for supporting this cause, for lifting up the T1D community, and for helping me celebrate 10 years of strength, growth, and hope.
Here?s to my 10 year DIAversary, and to the breakthroughs ahead. ?
