On March 30, we rescued 26 dogs from a dog meat farm. The horror was unimaginable.
Imagine starving crammed in rusty cages and the only bowl in sight is full of rotted food that are infested with maggots. Imagine feeling so thirsty and dehydrated but not a drop of water has been given, in what feels like forever.
It?s a common practice for dog farms to not give the dogs water because they believe they get it from the trash food they supply.
It may not be easy to click through the visuals behind our phones and computers but imagine yourself there or as one of the dogs as you?re watching the videos and pictures. Beyond our imaginations though, is the horrid stench of the feces, the indescribable unsanitary conditions, and the smell of death. These dogs were living in a nightmare that is so unspeakable and horrible, we can never fully understand the fear they must have felt.
Many dogs are killed in front of their friends. They smell the blood and hear the screams of torture. They also know that when the cage door opens, it means it is their turn to die. They would rather sit in their feces than walk out of that cage. No matter how much they try to put up a fight though, ultimately they are pulled out and killed in the most tortuous ways possible.
It has been just 8 months since the devastating fire ripped apart our foster facility and took 20 angels from us. We were just getting back on our feet.
We did not expect to do such a big rescue, but it?s impossible to rescue only a few when every single dog's fate is in our hands. Once we see their eyes, they enter our hearts and we become their only hope. We could not leave anyone behind.
If you buy a shirt in support of this rescue, please know you are a part of saving all 26 dogs.
Your donations and support supplies these babies with high-quality U.S. brand dog food, endless treats, comfortable beds/blankets to sleep on, water offered at all times, proper vet care and needed medication, a solid floor to walk on, protection from the brutal weather, and most of all? love and kindness!
We are deeply thankful and grateful for your donations, sharing our posts, following our stories, even clicking ?likes? in comments and sharing your thoughts ~ anything and everything helps us to continue our mission. It truly takes a village. ?
Basic medical exam/vaccinations is $350/dog ($9100 for 26 dogs) not including spay/neuter. Please be a part of giving them a chance in starting their new life.
