Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. Over the past 30 years, we have promised to conduct innovative and impactful research to find less toxic, more effective treatment options for children battling cancer. Last year, we expanded the scope of our research initiatives and conducted our first ever 43 Challenge that offered 4.3 million dollars in funding to three groundbreaking, novel, unique scientific ideas. Every proposal submitted offers a glimmer of hope for children battling cancer and their families. We are proud to be funding an impactful percentage of the novel initiatives submitted, but there is still much work to be done.
