Greyhounds in Motion took in 4 Italian Greyhounds who were discovered in a hoarding situation. They'd never seen the outside world, much less been to a vet. We had 24 hours to make arrangements for the dogs, so we made a few calls and within minutes, we secured four incredible, experienced foster families. They stepped up to take the dogs in, not knowing levels of fear, personality or medical status. We extend our deepest gratitude to these families, and everyone involved in this mission to help hounds home and help heal the iggys.
Each of them arrived to us shaking with fear, nipping and running, sporting long, sharp nails, and a myriad of issues requiring urgent and immediate medical care, including skin conditions, seizures, and an oronasal fistula. In addition, each iggy needed the very basics -- vaccines, microchips, spays, dentals, fecal and heart worm checks.
If the love, security and compassion paid the bills, we would never ask for help. But since we need money, A LOT of money to pay these vet bills, we are asking for help. Purchase a shirt for yourself or your iggy loving friend, and a portion of proceeds will go to Greyhounds in Motion.
