This shirt was created to celebrate three years of the Homeless Outreach and Assistance Program (HOAP), a part of the City of Sacramento?s Front Street Animal Shelter.
The design was hand-drawn by HOAP?s coordinator, inspired by the people and pets whose bonds remind us why this work matters.
Amid a time of crisis in shelters across the country, this art celebrates the good - the moments of love, healing, and second chances that happen every day.
Every shirt was also hand tie-dyed by residents at First Step Communities? transitional shelter. No two are the same, each one unique, just like every person and pet we meet.
All proceeds from these shirts go directly toward life-saving medical care for pets of people experiencing homelessness, helping them stay out of shelters and with the people who love them.
To everyone who has been part of this journey - staff, donors, volunteers, partner organizations, and owners themselves, thank you for reminding us that care is always found in community.
