Horse of the Americas is a national registry supporting the critically endangered Colonial Spanish Horse. These horses played a major role in the history of America after being brought to Mexico by the Spanish Conquistadors in the late 1500's. They thrived in this region and quickly spread into the US where they played a major role in our western history. Some may still consider them Indian Ponies, but they are so much more. This amazingly smart and gentle breed is known for connecting with their caregivers make them an ideal horse for families, and children.
